Our solutions for the Prime food branding and marketing efforts exemplify the uniqueness of the business—resulting in customer loyalty and repeat business.
To become an independent local butcher and grocer, PRIME worked with Aliste to break away from the franchise food branding and become its own trusted food brand.
A Unique Experience
Prime Butchers originated from a franchise meat business that wanted to establish themselves as a unique butcher shop experience. Upon meeting with this client it was clear that the nostalgic roots of the corner shop butcher had to shine through as a standout in the competitive food branding space.
Prior to working with Aliste, the team at Prime was responsible for their own marketing. Spending time on Facebook, direct mailings and website outreach, their marketing wasn’t being measured or tracked.
Owner Peter Weissmann exclaimed, “We put some things out there, hoped they would stick, but never really did a lot to assess what was working and not working. There wasn’t consistency, there wasn’t enough posting and interacting, and there wasn’t a well-defined strategy.”
Telling the Story
To become an independent local butcher and grocer, PRIME worked with Aliste to break away from the franchise food branding and become a new trusted food brand that has complete freedom and flexibility to offer the top-quality foods. We started with a comprehensive marketing plan that outlined strategies and events for achieving their goals and relaunching the business under the PRIME- Your Trusted Butcher brand.
Telling the Butcher story in their gourmet food branding elements: old town chalkboard and parchment paper feel, personable and knowledgeable butchers; this all had to be conveyed through graphics, colors, content, interactions and inbound campaigns.
From launching a new custom website, optimized social media pages, compelling marketing copy, point of sale promotional pieces and redesign of interior branding, the grand opening event was a success.
People ultimately shop and return to Prime because they’re unique and different, and our solutions for their food branding exemplifies that. All of the meat at Prime is cut by the butcher each and every single day. It isn’t packaged in containers. The meat is all sourced locally, and there are no fillers whatsoever.
Customers experience the difference the moment they walk into the Prime store. From the authentic window display of antique butcher knives, parchment paper packaging and cuts of meat-to the familiar Butchers introducing themselves to personally helping guests craft the perfect meal, Prime becomes a beacon as the neighborhood butcher.
Owner, Peter Weissmann:
“With Alicia and her team, our social media and marketing is much more dynamic now. It’s not just about putting out posts; it’s about how we interact with the customer and get them involved in what we’re doing. Within a few months of launching the new website, of consistently posting and engaging on social media, of using Google+, and of encouraging customers to write review on YELP, we have started to see greater engagement, greater website traffic, and an increase in our fan base.
I am able to speak to Alicia and tell her: ‘okay, for the next two months, I want to gear our marketing towards how can we drive more catering sales to the store.’ And she’ll tailor her efforts to increasing catering sales. In a few months we’ll be able to look at the campaign and decide if it was effective, and learn as a result for next time.”
have been Responsive, Accommodating, Forward-Thinking. Without the marketing, it’s difficult obviously for us to continue to expand. It’s pivotal to what we do. To the extent that we can get better at it, and make those connections even stronger within the community and our customer base; they go hand in hand."
