TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR JOB OR COMPANY AND WHAT LED YOU TO YOUR CAREER?

I felt empowered to start an outsourced marketing team during a recession by providing quality services that businesses needed to succeed. Adapting to the constantly changing market and economy has allowed me to overcome the effects of a recession and build a business I’m passionate about sharing. We most frequently hear that great startups began in a garage….but even at a young age, founder Alicia Williams believed in making every effort efficient. So Aliste Marketing was founded on a small 12×12 desk in a laundry room. Before you laugh, just imagine the amount of clean clothes and work we got done at the same time! Starting your own business in the middle of a recession is hard enough. Doing it at the age of 22, right after graduating from college is even harder.

WHAT IS YOUR SECRET WEAPON? AN APP, A TOOL, A ORGANIZATION METHOD, ANYTHING?! (CAN BE A PERSONAL OR PROFESSIONAL LIFE TOOL)

This is going to sound conceited but I feel that my personality is my secret weapon. I am a mom, a friend, a sister, a daughter, a wife, a business owner, an employer etc. Everything I say comes from my experience and my gut feelings- I don’t promise things I don’t believe in, I don’t give false expectations. My weapon is pure transparency into why my mind recommends or presents certain things.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOUR YOUNGER SELF?

Believe in what you know and research the things you don’t know so you can provide value. It is ok to push back when you feel strongly about something.

HOW DO YOU ENJOY YOUR FREE TIME?

Playing with my little ones and diving into their little imaginations

WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?

I love to dance- dance parties in the kitchen are a must!
